Decathlon and Het PR Bureau are going to tackle sport excuses together. In 2019 Decathlon kicks off a new campaign to refocus the goal of sporting: from chasing results to having fun.
After an intensive pitch period Decathlon chooses Het PR Bureau for a structural interpretation of their marketing and PR activities. The sports retailer kicks off 2019 with a brand new campaign, aiming to reset the focus of sporting from result driven to fun. This is the focus for all 2019 campaign activities. In Het PR Bureau Decathlon found a partner to make it more appealing to just go out and sport. The partnership officially started mid December (2018).
Decathlon makes sports accessible to the whole world. For more than 40 years the sports store chain has introduced innovative and affordable products that take both physical and mental barriers to sport away. The snorkel mask - goggles with a breathing tube incorporated - or the well-known pop-up tents by Quechua, are both examples of innovation by Decathlon to encourage an active lifestyle.
Stories with impact
Decathlon started a platform, SportenmetDecathlon.nl (Sporting with Decathlon), to bring sports and sporters even closer together even more. The platform provides sport advice, local sport activities and events, inspiration and more - all provided in cooperation with local sports clubs and associations.

Sporting is for everyone, young and old, experienced or inexperienced. It doesn’t really matter, as long as you do it. And have fun doing it. Decathlon has 16 stores in the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Kerkrade, Best, Apeldoorn, Leeuwarden, Breda, Rotterdam (2), Arnhem, Eindhoven, Den Haag, Alkmaar, Tilburg, Enschede, Roermond en Utrecht) with more to come.
