In collaboration with The Concertgebouw, publisher Blink developed the digital teaching method Kazoo. This allows every primary school teacher to give music lessons.

Approach

The aim of Blink and The Concertgebouw is to highlight the importance of music in the classroom. To illustrate to journalists how Kazoo can contribute to this, we launched the app in a classroom. Year 2 students of primary school De Triangel in Amstelveen were the first children to receive a Kazoo lesson, by none other than Tania Kross. Simon Reinink, director at The Concertgebouw, was also present to elaborate on the importance of music in the classroom.

Results

Kazoo received widespread national media attention, including items in Radio 1 Journaal, Het Parool, Metro, AT5, Radio 538, NU.nl and RTV Noord Holland. In addition, RTL Nieuws was present at the launch and created a lengthy report on the app. We reached a total number of 19,690,768 people.
